Why Drupal?

What’s Drupal in the first place? Drupal is a very easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS) that saves me time and energy when making websites. Content Management System roughly is a set or collection of files with different extensions that manage the work of the website.

My favorite CMS is Textpattern because it is light and robust. Nevertheless, Textpattern has some limitations like lack of book hierarchy which is embedded in Drupal. I am not saying that it is impossible to create book hierarchies on Textpattern; it is possible yet more time-consuming than in the case of Drupal. That’s why Drupal came in handy here.

So to create a site like this one does not have to write all the codes from scratch. The process is much simpler: download a latest version of Drupal from www.drupal.org, upload Drupal onto your server, create a data base, connect Drupal with the newly created data base through the file setting.php, and here you go! Your site is ready to rock-n-roll.
