My name is Andre. I live in the Republic of Belarus. About 20 years ago I got interested in the Buddhism and has been practicing Buddhist type of meditation ever since.

Having attended the 2008 Vesak Celebration Conference in Hanoi (Viet Nam) I noticed that most of the materials of the Conference workshops remained unavailable to the general public in the Internet. This inspired me to fill up the gap by publishing them on this website.

Buddhism is not only about sitting still in lotus position and counting in- and out- breaths to get into a state of mental tranquility as many believe. Buddhism has much to offer to the modern day society in the field of politics, economy, education, environment, etc. It is these issues that the authors deal with in their articles.
